We’ve photographed underwater plenty, and have even done many “over/under” shots for clients.  But this shoot for the SeaLife Aquarium at the Mall of America was the first request of its kind for us!  We brought in the same camera box and technique as we use outdoors, except added a lot of strobe lighting to make do in the dark environment.  The human models were terrific, but the 50 or so rays in their new environment were not nearly as easy to direct.  We did eventually get the shot in one frame though, except the beach background which we added in post.  Watch for this one on buses, billboards, and mall kiosks, and more!
