The first IQ (Initiative Quarterly) issue we had the chance to photograph was about childhood mental health issues. The children and parents series was shot during very spirited sessions. The shot of the doctor at the Sibley Medical Center is still one of our favorites. The cover photograph, at the storm door, was carefully concepted and sketched - but needed a thoughtful youngster. John nominated his son, Parker, who at five years old took the direction perfectly.
